Connectability Australia

ConnectAbility Australia is a not for profit disability service supporting people with high to very high support needs overcome barriers to achieving their goals and dreams. Commencing in 1992 as Newcastle and Hunter Community Access, we changed our name to ConnectAbility Australia in late 2010 to better reflect our vision of connecting potential to life satisfaction.

We provide a suite of supported day programs funded by NSW Department of Human Services, Ageing, Disability, and Home Care. A significant project supporting residents of Hunter Residences, Stockton to access the wider community commenced in 2003.

Our aim is to support people with disabilities to live their lives, their way, to their fullest potential. Through our programs and support, our staff look for innovative ways to overcome any barriers that may hinder our service users achieving their goals. We are committed to providing opportunities for people so that they can enjoy the satisfaction, independence and sense of purpose that comes from being a valued member of the community.

Current activities include education and training, activities of daily living such as cooking and money handling skills, volunteer work such as Meals on Wheels and recreational activities using local facilities such as beaches, parks, shopping centres and other recreational venues.

Our office is located at Units 3 and 4, 46 Hudson Street, Hamilton, NSW, 2303 and is equipped with kitchen, computer room and sensory room. We can be contacted on (02) 4962 1000.
